Downbeat Magazine Editor Frank Alkyer described the trio as "a furious blend of rock, jazz, blues, punk and metal fused with infectious folksiness." Frontman Mike Sopko has worked with punk rock legend Mike Watt and drummer supreme G. Calvin Weston forming Glimpse Trio with drummer Hamir Atwal and bassist Jym Murry.  

Currently residing in San Leandro, CA (near Oakland), the band combines variety, musicianship and unabashed dedication to playing an incredible array of music.  A band like this is impossible to pigeon hole into a specific genre.  

A passion for improvising is apparent, making Glimpse Trio an original and eclectic experience to watch or listen to.
